Macia Monasterio de los Basilios Hotel is a comfortable and charming 3 stars hotel situated next to the Genil River, on the border between Paseo del Violon and the Salon Gardens, near to the congress palace. It is 18 kilometres from the airport. The Macia Monasterio de Los Basilios is located in a monastery of the same name, which was built in the early 1600s on the remnants of an earlier Muslim convent. It has a cloister with garden. Other facilities include a restaurant, internet access, laundry service, dry cleaning service, social and television lounges, reception and function rooms. The reception rooms are housed in the 17th century monastery, whilst the bedrooms are found in the former seminary.

Granada is renowned world-wide as the site of some of the most impressive examples of Moorish art, monuments and structures.
The military fort of The Alhambra, which began construction in the 13th century, is the best-know Arab construction in the world.
Gardens were later added that have successfully added to the opulence and grandeur of the complex, making it a real treat for sight-seers.
The Moorish quarter of Albayzin has been declared a UNESCO heritage site and represents the true soul of Granada town, maze-like streets with beautifully crafted stone buildings overlooking the majesty of the Alhambra itself.
